In Icelandic, reykur is smoke. It is the first half of Reykjavík — the bay of smoke, named by its first settlers for the steam rising off the hot springs.
It was also the right name for a horse the colour of it.

Reykur was an Icelandic horse, and he was ours. In his prime he was a world champion — the fastest Icelandic horse in the world.
The Icelandic horse has a fifth gait, skeið, the flying pace. Two beats, and between them a moment when no hoof touches the ground. It is the gait that races are run in.

The family has been investing since the 1960s, in companies like Ericsson, H&M and Astra — long before it became AstraZeneca.
The office carries his name because we would like to invest the way he ran, and the way he lived.
